If it is not bright enough, you can get a bright bulb, as the t9 lamps that come with it are a very soft glow. This light is easy to install and is an inexpensive lighting. These are so much brighter than the halogen lights, your kitchen goes from a series of spotlights to one whole spot light. The shadows will be reduced to none, The cover for this light is plastic and can be also placed in your bathroom. If you plan to put in in your ceiling, you need more screws to provide extra support for the fixture. This flush mount ceiling light is contemporary, practical, and not too heavy. It's stylish, but won't fall down if you have thin drywall, just follow the easy instructions. There is a plenty of bright light even for kitchens. The look is very modern yet casual,this is a nice light very elegant look.

Brushed Nickel 2-Light Round Fluorescent Flush Mount: This hampton bay fluorescent lighting fixture has 2 circular fluorescents,the replacement of light fixtures isn't hard, but this one lacked some important details in the directions, you need to assemble the ceiling pan, the uppermost metal ring and the 3 posts prior to mounting it on the ceiling. After attaching the wire and that whole structure to the ceiling, then you attach the diffuser and lower metal ring. You can also replace the bulbs that come with it with softer white bulbs. It throws a lot of light and it looks good. It is easy to install and it really lights up a kitchen. This is probably not ideal for a big kitchen but great for a small to medium one.

Classic Bronze Oval Fluorescent 2 Light Flushmount: The entire whilte part of this hampton bay fluorescent lighting fixture is plastic. It has great lighting and looks nice after it is hung up and brighten up the whole room. The bulbs are exceptionally bright. The unit does not hum or flicker and since the unit is rather large, it is better to use extra wide-thread screws to hold it securely into the ceiling, it is not necessary but just to be cautious. It puts out a large amount of light and is close fitting to the ceiling. The look of the fixture is very nice,looks fabulous in any kitchen and worth every cent.

Classic Bronze Round Fluorescent 2 Light Flushmount: This hampton bay fluorescent lighting fixture is great and can be used in a dining room. It should be used in a smaller room, for a larger room, get the larger version of it. The design of this light is fantastic with its larger counterpart, it throws an orange glow on the ceiling that is a nice feature that most fluorescent lights do not have. Unlike like the larger one, this light does not require extra support, as it is very light weight. It gives off a good amount of light.
