The lamp shades are made of etched glass but look like linen. The light is diffused perfectly through the shades to allow for plenty of light with no glare.This modern, updated classic fixture looks great installed.However, the 100 watt bulbs, included with the fixture, are much too bright, obscuring the linen-look shades.The light is easy to install,and looks great.The linen detail on the chandeliers give it such a casual elegance. Overall with how luminous and functional these lamps are ,they are woth the money.

Hampton Bay Chateau Deville Collection Deville Walnut Finish 3 Light Bath Light: This hampton bay bath lighting is easy to install.The light globes have a screw thing that goes around the entire globe that makes them secure really well.This is different than most globe styles that have 3 screws that you have to put in just right.It has a nice design.You can also get nice round globe lights to go in it, and it will work out perfectly,very bright. The light and globes give a nice yellowish cast to the room.You could make the light less intense with the bulb styles you choose, I would recommend this product for it's style, ease of use, ease of install, and overall look to anyone who likes to update a bathroom with an antique look. It looked great with the venetian plaster, travertine, and antique cherry wood I had chosen for my bathroom.This vanity light is perfect and really tied all the bathroom fixtures together.The light cast a warm hue, which makes it very flattering The only thing to pay attention to are the demensions of the Lamp;it has a grea Tuscan old world look, comes with  rich colors on the base and on the shades.
